Wild Berries and Spinach Smoothie Bowl

As the summer months are approaching, I think smoothies are one of the best breakfast/ snacks we can have. The thickness, coldness and wholesomeness of the smoothie make everything better on a hot dusty day!

This smoothie is loaded with antioxidants from the berries, full of protein from the spinach, rich in healthy fats and omega-3 from the chia seeds and flax seeds and potassium as well, a mineral which is very crucial for our bodies, that it's contained in bananas.

ingredients(serves one):

-1 small banana

-handful each of fresh spinach, frozen blueberries and frozen raspberries

-250 ml plant-based milk/ water

-sprinkle of chia seeds and flax seeds(optional)

directions:

-throw all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until you get a thick smoothie

-pour the smoothie in a bowl and garnish it with your favorite toppings

As toppings, I used: homemade GirlAroundTheFood granola, fresh strawberries and blueberries, sprinkle of pumpkin seeds, goji berries and homemade GirlAroundTheFood peanut butter.

Feel free to use any other topping that you'd like/ have on hand.
