Hi guys! I'm back yet again with another energy bites recipe for y'all! This is definitely going to be a series and I can see that energy bites are becoming a thing on my blog! I hope you enjoy the recipes and especially this one, because these Cacao Peanut Butter Energy Bites can be substituted for Snickers bars- such a healthier and more wholesome and nourishing version!

ingredients:
-1 cup oat flakes/ rolled oats
-1 cup roasted peanuts, unsalted
-2 cups soft and fresh dates
-2-3 tablespoons pure peanut butter
directions:
-place the oats and the peanuts in a blender/ food processor. Blend them for 30 seconds/ 1 minute or until they form a "flour"-like texture
-to that, add the dates(make sure you remove the pits from the dates beforehand) and the peanut butter* and blend everything nicely until you're left with a sticky mixture that you can for little bite-sized balls from
-after you've formed the energy bites, place them in the fridge to cool for about two hours and then, they'll be ready for you to enjoy!
SUGGESTION: if you're a chocolate lover, you can melt some dairy-free dark chocolate and glaze the energy bites with it, so that way they'll feel more like a dessert and they'll be more indulgent
*for starters, add 2 tablespoons of peanut butter and after you blend everything, if the mixture is sticky enough, leave it at that, otherwise add one more tablespoon of peanut butter and you'll be good to go.
