Happy Monday everyone! Wishing y'all a wonderful and productive week ahead. I'm here today to make your morning just a little bit easier and take away one worry off your shoulders- that's the "What am I going to eat for breakfast this morning?".

Today, GirlAroundTheFood is going to provide you with two simple, yet delicious, yet easy and quick breakfast ideas that'll satisfy your morning cravings, both sweet and savory. You'll just need to get your hands on the ingredients and make a quick trip to the grocery store. Then, when you wake up, the preparation time will take a maximum of 5 minutes- the dream, right? So, let's jump right into it!

For this version, you'll need:

  1. a ripe avocado

  2. desirable amount of pieces of whole grain bread

  3. salt 'n pepper

  4. sun dried tomatoes from a jar

  5. a variety of seeds( if desired).

Simply, just put your pieces of bread in the toaster and let the toaster do its magic. When ready, you can smash a desirable amount of avocado on top of each piece. The following step is scooping one(if not more) piece of sun dried tomato out of the jar and putting it on top of the avocado layer. To top this off, what I usually like to do is sprinkle some buckwheat seeds, ground flax seeds and let's not forget the salt 'n pepper. THAT'S IT. You have your breakfast ready in only 5 minutes.

Nutritious fact: avocado is a great source of healthy fats that are necessary for the function of your heart and muscles. Avocados are loaded with fiber, have more potassium than bananas and are a great food to start the day with, providing your body with energy and nutrients that will get your body moving.

If you have fresh salads on hand, like arugula, that'll work perfectly well as a topping :)

This one right here is rich in antioxidants, proteins, fiber, healthy fat, magnesium- you name it, it has it. This Peanut Butter Jelly toasts are the dream if you ask me. They're such a treat for you and your body- on one hand your feeding your soul and your needs, enjoying and savoring every bite of your meal and on the other hand your providing your body with all of the nutrients and vitamins it needs. Trust me, you won't make a mistake with this one.

For this version, you'll need:

  1. homemade peanut butter( recipe coming in the near future) or you can use store-bought too

  2. homemade raspberry chia jam( recipe coming in the near future as well)

  3. a banana

  4. desirable amount of pieces of whole grain bread

  5. roasted coconut chips

  6. sprinkle of cinnamon( if desired).

Simply, just put your pieces of bread in the toaster and let the toaster do its magic. When ready, spread a generous amount of peanut butter. After that, you can spread some homemade raspberry chia jam on the one piece of toast and on the other, you can place some cut up banana. Finally, you can sprinkle some coconut chips on top, as their crunch and flavor is an amazing thing to taste. Voilà!

Nutritious fact: peanut butter is packed with all different kinds of nutrients. Mainly, peanut butter contains proteins, healthy fats, lots of fiber, magnesium and phosphorous. It's very beneficial to include peanut butter to your breakfast because all these nutrients will provide your body with lots of energy, it'll regulate blood sugar levels and mainly, it will keep you fuller for a longer period of time.
