Cacao Raspberry Oatmeal

Oatmeal is definitely on the top of the list of my favorite breakfasts, because it's so nourishing and delicious, it's ridiculously easy to make and it basically keeps you full for hours! This Cacao Raspberry Oatmeal is especially nutritious, because the oats naturally contain a lot of fiber and they're slow-burning carbs, which helps our bodies to digest the sugar we intake a lot slower, leaving us fuller for longer.

Additionally, the raw cacao powder we're gonna use in this recipe, makes this oatmeal even more nutritious because it contains a lot of antioxidants, more than berries actually and we know how important antioxidants are for our skin! So, if you're interested and sound intrigued, give this oatmeal a try!

ingredients:

50 g oat flakes

200 ml plant-based milk/ water

sprinkle of cinnamon

1 tablespoon maple syrup/ other liquid sweetener

1 tablespoon raw organic cacao powder*

2 tablespoons chia seeds

+toppings: banana, goji berries, flax seed, pumpkin seeds, buckwheat seeds, homemade raspberry chia jam/ frozen or fresh wild berries

*I recommend using good quality and organic cacao powder that has been minimally processed, because that way, you get all of the nutrients it provides. Plus, raw and organic cacao powder has a stronger and natural flavor

how-to:

-in a bowl, add the oats, chia seeds and cacao powder. Mix that all up and add the plant-based milk and maple syrup.

-stir that all together until everything is well incorporated and smooth

-add your favorite topping and you're done!

Oatmeal is a great option for breakfast because you can easily make it a to-go breakfast by adding it to a portable air-tight container/ jar. This way, you can easily take your healthy breakfast with you to school, work or to the park!
