Bean Burger Patties

Hello everyone! I'm here today to bring you yet another vegan recipe great for making veggie burgers! These Bean Burger Patties are so so simple to make(and I really mean it) and when I think about it, in general, vegan patties are so easy to make- you just need beans or lentils, some onion and garlic, a looot of spices and flour. So simple!

I enjoyed this Bean Burger Patties with some oven-baked fries, which turned out AMAZING this time and also with a fresh red cabbage salad. This is pure heaven for me guys, I wouldn't change it for the world. Enjoy the recipe and feel free to make it if this sounds interesting to you!

ingredients:

400 g can of cooked red beans (any beans will work here)

1 medium/ 2 small red or yellow onion

3 cloves of garlic

salt and pepper

desired spices (turmeric, dill, paprika powder...)

1 flax "egg" (2 tbsp ground flax seeds + 4 tbsp water)*

30 g sunflower seeds

130 g oats/ oat flour (regular flour will work as well)

vegetable oil for cooking

*mix this in a cup and let it sit for 2 minutes. It should have a gel consistency afterwards. This Flax "Egg" serves as an egg and it'll make everything stick together better)

how -to:

cut the onion and garlic and in a pan on a medium heat, cook them with a little bit of oil and salt for a couple of minutes or until they're slightly golden and cooked well

add the rest of the ingredients to a food processor, along with the cooked onion and garlic and mix that until everything is well combined*

form the patties (makes 4 or 5) and cook them on a pan or bake them before serving them

*you don't actually need a food processor for this recipe. You can mash the beans with a fork in a big bowl and add the rest of the ingredients, such as flour, spices, onion and garlic, flax egg and sunflower seeds and you'll end up with the same result

And there you have it! I really enjoyed this recipe myself, so I'll be making these often for now on. These actually freeze really well- just put them in an air-tight container and store them in the freezer for up to a month!
