Simple Raspberry Chia Jam

Making jam has never been easier! This Simple Raspberry Chia Jam is perfect for your morning oatmeal, you can also add it as a topping on pancakes, a piece of toast/rice cake with additional nut butter(almond, peanut or hazelnut)* and you can make jam cookies with it.

*peanut butter works especially well, because you'll get that full peanut butter and jelly effect

ingredients:

-1 pack (300 grams) of frozen raspberries

-1 tbsp maple syrup/ other sweetener of your choosing (optional)*

-3 tbsp chia seeds

*if you want your jam to be sweeter.

instructions:

-turn on the stove on medium-high heat

-pour the whole package of frozen raspberries into a cooking pan and place it on the heated stove

-slowly, push them down/ mash them with a fork. Continue to do this step until the raspberries are dissolved/ have released their liquids

-transfer the jam into a air-tight jar

-add the chia seeds to the jam and stir them around, transferring them evenly

-pop the lid on the jar and let the jam chill in the fridge for max. 2 hours. Then, it will be ready for you to enjoy.

NOTE: because this is a homemade jam made without any addings and preservatives, it won't last you very long. It's meant for fresh consumption and it will last for about 5 days, but I'm pretty sure you'll finish it much sooner.

Here is how I enjoyed my jam this morning: homemade Berry Banana Granola + plant-based coconut yogurt, raspberry chia jam, banana coins, cinnamon and Almond Butter.

enjoy.
